Aged Care Speech Pathology
Speech pathology supports adults in maintaining their communication, swallowing, comfort and overall quality of life.
PAH speech pathologists play an important role in supporting older adults in the community. Our therapists identify the challenges that most affect a person’s daily life and provide strategies to improve them, helping seniors maintain independence, safety and enjoyment in everyday activities.
Our Aged Care speech pathologists are skilled in assessing, treating and supporting the long-term communication and swallowing needs of older adults.
We provide services in homes, hospitals, aged care facilities, retirement villages and nursing homes—wherever support is needed. By coming directly to the person, we reduce the stress and difficulty of travelling to appointments, ensuring older adults can access timely, comfortable and consistent care.

How Speech Pathology Supports Seniors
There are many reasons older adults may benefit from speech pathology. Support can help with:
- Swallowing difficulties
- Communication changes after a stroke
- Pronunciation or understanding language
- Speech issues related to other health conditions
Our PAH speech pathology team is experienced with Aged Care funding programs, including the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Home Care Packages (HCP). We work closely with CHSP and HCP providers to ensure seniors receive high-quality allied health care in the comfort and familiarity of their own home.
